Al's Liner DIY Bed Liner Kits for Trucks ATVs UTVs Boats

Al's Liner is the first and only urethane/acrylic DIY bed liner that can compete with the "Professional Bed Liners". Al's was designed by Scorpion Protective Coatings in 1995.  Scorpion has been supplying their 3 part batch system bed liner to the professional, commercial, and industrial sectors for over 15 years. In April of 2008, they launched their first retail item, Al's Liner 1 Gallon Kit. Since that time, they have gained a credible market share in a confusing and saturated market. Consumers have come to recognize Al's as the true high solids coating they say it is. With this simple inexpensive batch system, DIY consumers are now capable of coating a wide array of items in any texture, color or thickness they desire. Don't be fooled by solvent based, watered down versions of the real thing. Get a lasting protection in your truck bed with Al's DIY Truck Bed Liner Kit.

Al's Liner Mix Chart

Al's Liner DIY Truck Bed Liner Kits are pre-measured to make a 1 gallon application right out of the box. Simply mix all of the containers together and apply. Some customers want to spray smaller amounts for smaller projects. We encourage all customers to use Al's Liner on any project large or small and to do that, you will need to mix smaller quantities of Al's Liner. It is very simple to mix smaller amounts of Al's Liner - follow the mix chart below and you are ready to spray.

Standard mixing ratio is 2.5 parts Al's Liner A Component to 1 part B to 1 part C. See below for standard mixing and tint ratios.

Custom Colors
Al's Liner offers a truly customizable bed liner. Al's can be tinted to almost any color using a wide variety of pigments. They recommend using automotive based pigments to insure saturations of the bed liner for a true color match. You can use any type of automotive pigment (urethane, acrylic, waterborne, etc.). Just make sure there are no binders in the mix as they will be forced out of the liner during the curing process.

Tintable Al's Liner Kits
The Al's Liner DIY Truck Bed Liner System is what they call a batch mix system with three major components making up the base product and a separate bottle of pigment included in the kits for color. If you wish to change the color, you will want to discard the pigment included in the kit and mix 8 ounces of base pigment to tint the gallon. Keep in mind some lighter colors or translucent colors may require 12-16 ounces of pigment to ensure proper saturation.

Tinting Al's Liner White
White is always a question when it comes to tinting bed liners. Al's Liner DIY Truck Bed Liner Kits can be tinted white, however you must keep in mind that it takes a very high density pigment to achieve a true white simply because Al's is a urethane based product. If you do not use a high-quality/high-density white pigment you stand a chance of the liner yellowing during the curing process. The problem with white pigments of that caliber is that they are expensive. These generally cost $150 to $300 per pint of pigment. Also keep in mind that a white liner will show any dirt, scuff marks, etc.
